We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Provence, France. I love the Provence, even in this time of year it is a great place to visit.
We stayed in wonderful places, tasted wonderful wines and brought home many bottles and bag-in-the-boxes.
During our journey to the Provence we stayed in a beautifully restored little castle in Meursault, Chateau de Citeaux ” La Cueillette”. At the castle you could take in the scents of the different Burgundy wines at the scent tubes. Meursault is a nice village with a central square and a town hall, restaurants, shops, and wineries and of course we bought some delicious Burgundy wines.

In the Provence our first stop was at Tourette-sur-Loupe, a “village Perché“. Here we stayed at the Bed & Breakfast Bleu Azur, a lovely B&B, located a few minutes walk from the village, with three B&B rooms and three apartments (gites). Our room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated, a guest fridge, where we could store our drinks, was at our disposal. From our room we had a stunning view of the mountains and the Mediterranean sea.

Nadine and Jean Yves, our friendly hosts, welcomed us at our arrival. Nadine suggested some restaurants and Jean Yves some places to visit. As a result we had a delicious dinner at l’Ecole des Filles, located in a old school for girls, and a beautiful trip to Greolieres Les Neiges, where it still was possible to ski in March. Nadine pleasantly surprised us with home made apple pie and chocolate cake. What a treat!
Nadine and Jean Yves are very kind hosts and we enjoyed their hospitality tremendously. Maison d’hôtes Bleu Azur is superbly located for those who like to visit the Provence and the Côte d’Azur , specially the cities Nice, Cannes, Antibes. Highly recommended!

Our last two days in the Provence, we spent near Lorgues, in the B&B of Samuel Bruno. We had our diner at his famous truffle restaurant Chez Bruno. Our loft was beautiful and comfortably hidden between the trees on the property of BRUNO. This place is perfect for a short stay, if you have a dinner at Bruno’s restaurant and like to take a tour along the many wineries in the surrounding . Lorgues is a sweet little village.
Looks and sounds wonderful
