Almost 10 years ago I bought a Hester van Eeghen bag. A  minimalist bag you can wear as shoulder bag or as a rucksack/backpack. This bag is still in very good shape after all these years of intensive use.

My sister-in-law loved this bag and ask me to make something similar for her. A bit smaller, but large enough for a 13″ notebook or  iPad, and with shorter straps. She chose a gorgeous green and very dark brown leather I had in stock.

I sketched a pattern by studying my own red bag  and applying a bit of artistic license. This green version has a large drop in pocket at the front and a smaller one at the back side. Inside there’s a large zipper pocket to hold your wallet.

My sister-in-law was thrilled when se saw the end result and immediately took the bag with her on her vacation that week!
